    LONGMEADOW, Mass. - Seven Lesley University student-athletes from the winter and spring seasons earned New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference. These student-athletes of sophomore standing or higher maintained a 3.40 GPA or higher during their season of play.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The #2 seed Lesley University women’s basketball team defeated #3 seed Mitchell College 80-58 on Friday evening to advance to the New England Collegiate Conference Championship game on Saturday, February 27. The Lynx will host the title game and will play against #4 seed Elms College, who won their NECC Semifinal 56-52 over #1 seed Daniel Webster College.

    ATTLEBORO, Mass.—Daniel Webster College has claimed the top seed for the 2009-2010 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women’s Basketball Championship, which begins with quarterfinal matchups on campus sites the evening of Tuesday, February 23. The Eagles (20-5 overall) earned the top spot in the upcoming NECC tournament after posting a 15-1 conference record.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University women’s basketball junior Kaitlyn Wechsler (MERRICK, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) scored a game-high 21 points in a 51-42 Lynx victory over Becker College on Thursday evening. Lesley improved to 14-8 (13-2 NECC) going into the final game of the season.
  • Lowe joins 1,000-point club in win over Wheelock

    BOSTON, Mass. – Lesley senior Hailee Lowe (HAMILTON, Mass./Hamilton-Wenham Regional) became the third Lynx women’s basketball player in program history to score 1,000 career collegiate points with a second half layup against Wheelock College. Lowe joined Tia Cleckley (1,431 points) and Courtney Leakeas (1,138 points) as the only other Lesley women’s basketball players to reach this career milestone.

    LEICESTER, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s basketball team ran their win streak to eight in-a-row following a 75-48 victory over New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) opponent Bay Path College on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx improved to 12-8 (11-2 NECC) while the Wildcats fell to 5-16 (2-11 NECC).

    CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College sophomore guard Christina Korney (Feeding Hills, Mass.) scored a team-high 10 points, but Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) poured in a game-best 20 points to lead four Lesley University players in double figures as the Lynx topped the Blazers 74-47 in Thursday evening’s New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s basketball game at Picknelly Arena.

    BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Southern Vermont College women’s basketball team played host to New England Collegiate College opponent Lesley University losing 71-44 in the Field House Thursday night. Senior Hailee Lowe led all scorers with 16 points as the Lynx controlled the tempo most of the game.

    LEICESTER, Mass. – Lesley University’s Kaitlyn Wechsler (MERRICK, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) scored seven of her game-high 22 points in the final 1:50 of a conference game against Becker College to stun the Hawks 68-66. The Lynx improved to 6-8 (5-2 NECC) and jumped Mitchell College for second overall in the conference.

Windham, Conn.) notched 17 points while fellow sophomore Alycia Gervais (Windham, Conn.) added 12 points and eight rebounds as the Daniel Webster College women’s basketball team overcame a seven-point deficit over the final nine minutes and toppled Lesley University, 65-60 to remain perfect in New England Collegiate Conference play Tuesday night at Mario Vagge Gymnasium.

    BROOKLINE, Mass. - In the second game of the Saturday afternoon double-header against Lesley University, the Newbury College women’s basketball team was handed their second conference loss at the hands of the Lynx, 78-58. Senior Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, MA/Hamilton-Wenham) was one rebound shy of double-double as she led Lesley to the victory with 20 points and nine boards.

The Lynx are 1-6 (1-0 NECC) while the Wildcats dropped to 3-6 (0-1 NECC).

    NEWTON, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s basketball travel to Lasell College with the hopes of ending their four-game losing skid to start the season, but the Lynx lost the Lasers 69-50 to drop to 0-5. Lasell improved to 2-5 and have won back-to-back games after defeating Wheelock over the weekend.
  • Big second half by Suffolk beats Lesley, 76-60

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s basketball squad traveling to Suffolk University for a non-conference match up, but lost to the Rams 76-60. Lesley held a one-point advantage at halftime but Suffolk quickly took the lead in the second half and outscored the Lynx 41-24 in the period.
