    ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) concluded its second season with the Daniel Webster College Eagles and the Lesley University Lynx winning the 2009-10 Men's and Women's NECC Champions Cup for their top performances in conference regular-season and tournament play.

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Yair Correa (PAWTUCKET, R.I./St. Raphael Academy), Savannah Dunay (EFFORT, Pa./Pleasant Valley) and Alyson Durben (STOW, Mass./Nashoba Regional) will join over 400 other student-athletes from across the nation for the NCAA Career in Sports Forum held at the Downtown Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana from May 11-14, where participants will learn about sports professions, specifically in collegiate athletics.
  • Lesley women's soccer names three captains for 2010

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Head Women's Soccer Coach Paul Vasconcelos has announced the three team captains for the 2010 season. Senior midfielder Alyson Durben (STOW, Mass./Nashoba Regional) and senior defender Dory LeCount (WALTHAM, Mass./Waltham) will join junior defender Savannah Dunay (EFFORT, Pa./Pleasant Valley) as the leaders of the Lynx.
  • Sixteen fall student-athletes earn NECC All-Academic

    ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) honored fall student-athletes who met the 3.40 GPA minimum standard and who were either of sophomore, junior, or senior class status. Sixteen of the 153 student-athletes were from Lesley University.

  • Folkestad and Fralick selected to NEWISA Senior Bowl

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Seniors Cathryn Folkestad (IPSWICH, Mass./Ipswich) and Jodi Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) have been chosen to play in the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl, a final day of competition for some of the best senior women’s soccer players from across all divisions of the NCAA.

    KEENE, N.H. – In their first ever postseason appearance, the Lesley University women’s soccer team lost to Keene State College 5-0 in the Quarterfinals of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament. The Lynx end their 2009 season with a record of 15-5-1 (8-0 NECC), one win shy of their program best 16 wins in 2008.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –Jodi Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) scored two goals and the Lesley University (15-4-1, 8-0 NECC) backfield limited their opponents to just four shots as the Lynx captured the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women’s soccer championship with a 3-1 victory over Mitchell College (8-11, 6-2 NECC). For Lesley, it was their first conference championship in program history.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – UMass Boston won their fourth straight match after handing the Lesley University women’s soccer team a 2-1 overtime defeat. The Lynx held a 1-0 advantage at halftime, but an early second half goal by UMass Boston set up the overtime victory for the Beacons.
