INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Yair Correa (PAWTUCKET, R.I./St. Raphael Academy), Savannah Dunay (EFFORT, Pa./Pleasant Valley) and Alyson Durben (STOW, Mass./Nashoba Regional) will join over 400 other student-athletes from across the nation for the NCAA Career in Sports Forum held at the Downtown Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana from May 11-14, where participants will learn about sports professions, specifically in collegiate athletics.

The Forum offers participants a dual-track program based on their level of interest in being either a coach or an administrator at the collegiate athletics industry.  Correa will be pursuing his interest in coaching while Dunay and Durben are focusing more on the role of the collegiate athletics administrator.

All student-athletes, no matter what track they choose, will be learning foundational skills such as communication, networking, recruiting, managing culture, transitioning and budgeting.

This Forum is open to student-athletes who have an interest in pursuing a career as a coach in the sports of basketball, bowling, football, gymnastics, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.  Future administrators will have an interest in working in academics, compliance, facilities, life skills, marketing and promotions, and sports information.

All participants to be considered for the Career in Sports Forum must be returning to campus for the 2010-2011 academic year as well as having played in a NCAA-sponsored sport during the 2009-2010 academic year, be in good academic standing to the institutions requirements, and are expected to participate fully in all forum activities.

Correa has played midfield for the Lynx men's soccer team the past two seasons, helping to lead his team to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship match each of those years.  With a 15-5-2 record in 2009, Correa and the Lynx also earned a berth into the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament for the first time in program history.

Dunay and Durben were teammates on the women's soccer team that won the NECC Championship this past fall and earned a spot in the ECAC Tournament.  They were both named captain for the upcoming 2010-2011 season.  Durben also competes for the Lynx softball team that won their third consecutive conference title this past weekend and will play in the ECAC Tournament for the second season in-a-row.
