CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Emerson College scored four times in the second half of a non-conference match up with Lesley University, winning 5-2 on the road.  Lesley dropped to 8-4-1 (3-0 NECC) while Emerson improved to 8-3-1 (6-1-1 GNAC).

Emerson midfielder Lindsay D'Andrea (MEDFORD, N.J./Shaunee) led the Lions with two goals to bring her season total and team-high total to 13.  D'Andrea netted her first goal in the 27th minute when the junior received a pass through the middle from teammate Katie Franzeo (HENDERSON, Nev./Foothill) and placed her shot to the top center of the net.  D'Andrea's goal tied the match at 1-1 going into halftime.

Later in the match, D'Andrea scored off a free kick from Carmen Trobaugh (GALES FERRY, Conn./The Williams School) that bounced into the goalie box and was redirected by D'Andrea.

Emerson got goals from Amy Gutierrez (FREDERICKSBURG, Texas/Fredericksburg), Courtney Stefancyk (UXBRIDGE, Mass./Wheeler School), and Franzeo in the second half of the game to catapult the Lions to victory.

Lesley opened up the scoring in the 9th minute after Cathryn Folkestad (IPSWICH, Mass./Ipswich) crossed a corner kick into the box that was collected and shot into the back of the net by Jodi Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn).  Fralick later scored her second goal of the match in the second half at 60:33 with a soft shot over the keeper's outstretched hands that rolled to the back of the net.  The goal was assisted by Katherine Bradley (COLCHESTER, Conn./Bacon Academy).

In net, Emerson's Shayna Reich (WEST HILLS, Calif./El Camino Real) made nines saves while allowing two goals.  Lesley's Hailee Lowe (HAMILTON, Mass./Hamilton-Wenham Regional) and Miranda Matson (GIG HARBOR, Wash./Peninsula) combined for four saves in the loss.

Lesley will be back in action on Saturday, October 10 when the Lynx host conference opponent Becker College starting at 12:00 pm.  Emerson travels to Lasell College for a GNAC contest on the same day starting at 1:00 pm.
