  • Four Named to Softball CSC Academic All-District Team

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University softball team saw four student-athletes earn spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team announced by the organization this afternoon. Emma Hodgkins (Raymond, N.H.), Lauren Martin (Lexington, Mass.), Kari Sorenson (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), and Leah St. John (New Ipswich, N.H.) all earned their first career CSC Academic All-District honors.

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University softball program has announced its three team captains for the 2025-2026 season. The Lynx will be led by Madison Herbert (Milford, N.H.), Isabella Moscoso (El Cajon, Calif.), and Leah St. John (New Ipswich, N.H.).
  • Lesley Falls in Doubleheader Finale Against Bay Path

    REVERE, Mass. -In the Lesley softball season finale, the squad took on Bay Path University but unfortunately fell 10-9 in game one, and 14-0 in game two. Prior to the game, the Lynx honored their lone senior, Emma Hodgkins (Raymond, N.H.). Lesley University Athletics would like to thank Hodgkins for all her efforts for the Lesley softball program over her career!

    WATERVILLE, Maine - The Lesley University softball team concluded its North Atlantic Conference (NAC) portion of the schedule with a doubleheader at Thomas College but was swept 8-0 in game one, and 9-0 in game two.

    FITCHBURG, Mass. - After concluding its four-game homestand yesterday, the Lesley University softball team hit the road for a quick mid-week matchup at Fitchburg State where the Lynx fell in both games, 7-0 and 7-5.

    NAPLES, Fla. - Lesley University closed out the Spring Break week with a 10-6 victory over Alverno College Saturday morning in NCAA Division III softball action at the Gene Cusic Classic in Naples, Fla. The Lynx split the day, dropping their first game of the day to Crown College, 5-3.

    NAPLES, Fla. - Lesley University was blanked by Alverno College and Alfred State College on Friday morning in NCAA Division III softball action at the Gene Cusic Classic in Naples, Fla. The Inferno posted a 4-0 win over LU before the Pioneers shutout Lesley by a 9-0 final in five innings.

    NAPLES, Fla. - Lesley University dropped a pair of NCAA Division III Softball contests Wednesday morning action at the Gene Cusic Classic. The Lynx dropped a highly contested affair to Rockford University, 5-2, before Wisconsin-Superior University pulled away in game two by a 13-2 final.
  • Softball Tops Elms 8-4 to Pick Up First Win of Season

    NAPLES, Fla. - Lesley University posted its first win of the 2025 campaign topping Elms College, 8-4, on Tuesday morning during NCAA Division III Softball action at the Gene Cusic Classic. The Lynx also fell to Bethany College (W.V.) earlier in the day by a 13-0 (5 inn.) final.
  • Softball Opens 2025 Campaign with Setbacks to Geneva & SUNY Potsdam

    NAPLES, Fla. - Lesley University opened the 2025 softball campaign with a pair of setbacks on opening day at the hands of Geneva College and SUNY Potsdam. The Golden Tornadoes cruised past the Lynx in the season-opener, 11-2 in five innings, before the Bears pulled away late in a 9-3 final in the second game of the morning.
  • Softball Projected Fifth in NAC East Division Preseason Poll

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In the 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Preseason Poll rankings, the Lesley University softball team was projected to finish fifth (six points) in the East Division, with Husson projected to finish first. Rounding out the division are UMaine Farmington (18 pts), Thomas College (17 pts), and UMaine Presque Isle (nine points). 
  • Proietti Joins Lynx Staff as Softball Head Coach

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following a national search, Lesley University Director of Athletic Dan Campagna has announced the appointment of Lou Proietti as Head Coach of the Lesley Softball program effective February 24, 2025. In addition to his coaching role, Proietti will also serve as the Game Day Manager for the Athletic Department.
  • Lesley University Athletics Inducts First-Ever Hall of Fame Class

    On Saturday, October 19, 2024, the Lesley University Athletics Department inducted its first-ever Hall of Fame Class that featured seven honorees. In the 2024 class, there are four former student-athletes (Francis 'Fran' Cusick'09- Men's Cross Country, Jodi [Fralick] Kenton'09- Women's Soccer, Basketball, and Softball, John Sanchez'12- Men's Basketball, and Molly Sarson'13 (posthumous)- Softball), one administrator (Stan Vieira-athletic director), one coach (Jen [Benway] Viana- Softball/Athletic Director), and one team (2011 softball team).
