2025 SCHEDULE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In the 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Preseason Poll rankings, the Lesley University softball team was projected to finish fifth (six points) in the East Division, with Husson projected to finish first. Rounding out the division are UMaine Farmington (18 pts), Thomas College (17 pts), and UMaine Presque Isle (nine points).

The Lynx will be led by new head coach Lou Proietti, who looks forward to taking over a promising Lynx program. "I am extremely excited and thankful for the chance to coach the Softball team and to join the Lesley community," said Proietti. "The future is very bright at Lesley University, and it's an honor to be able to make a positive impact both on and off the field."

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO

  • Lesley returns two of its top hitters, Kari Sorensen (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Isabella Moscoso (El Cajon, Calif.) , who finished with batting averages of .330 and .300, respectively. Sorensen was one of three Lynx to record 30 hits and was also a strong source of offense, finishing second on the team in RBIs (18). She posted six multi-hit games on the year, including a career-high 4-for-4 outing on March 24 in a 9-1 win vs. Elms with two doubles, a triple, a run scored, and four RBIs. She also was someone who found their way on-base thanks to a .403 on-base percentage (OBP). Moscoso was also equally effective at the blate as she tied for the team lead in hits with 33 and drove in nine RBIs while posting a .403 OBP. She had 10 multi-hit games on the year, including a season-high three-hit performance on April 21 vs. UMPI in a 7-4 NAC win, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored. Moscoso also caught fire towards the end of last season, where she hit safely in the final six games, posting a .450 average over that span.

  • On the mound, Hodgkins and Herbert were two of the Lynx's pitchers last year and will look to continue to lead the pitching staff once again this year. In her 20 appearances on the mound, Hodgkins started in 15 contests and finished with a 5.96 ERA in 83.1 innings pitched. She finished second on the team in strikeouts with 41, highlighted by a six-strikeout outing at Salem State (May 2). She pitched eight complete games during the year and finished with four wins, two of which were complete game shutouts. She was also recognized as NAC Pitcher of the Week last April.
