Nine fall athletes earn NECC Academic All-Conference
ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference released their Fall 2008 NECC Academic All-Conference award winners and Lesley is proud to announce that nine fall athletes were on the list. Juniors and seniors who held a grade point average of 3.40 or higher on a 4.0 scale were recognized.

Lani Cabral-Pini selected to NEWISA Senior Bowl
NASHUA, N.H. – Lesley University women’s soccer senior Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington, Mass.) was selected by the New England Women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) to play in the 2008 Senior Bowl. The NEWISA Senior Bowl, an all-star game showcasing the best Division I, II, and III talent from all the New England Region.

Elms takes NECC Championship over Lesley in shootout
CHICOPEE, Mass. – In a match up of the top two seeds in the New England Collegiate Conference, Elms College defeated Lesley University in the fifth round of penalty kicks to take the inaugural NECC Women’s Soccer Championship. The two teams tied at 1-1 through regulation and two overtimes, but the Blazers would prevail 4-3 in the shootout.

Women's soccer advances to NECC Championship
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s soccer team defeated Becker College 3-0 to advance to the New England Collegiate Conference title match. The Lynx will face the winner of the other semifinal match played between Daniel Webster and Elms College later this evening. Becker ends their 2008 campaign with a 7-10-1 (5-2-1 NECC) record after reaching the conference semifinals.

2008 NECC All-Conference Women's Soccer Teams
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Eight of the nine sponsored programs were represented on 2008 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Women’s Soccer All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, four separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week.

Women's soccer drops regular season finale to Elms
CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College junior forward Serina Percoski (Westfield, Mass.) netted her seventh goal of the season and freshman goalkeeper Kelly Callahan (Monson, Mass.) stopped four shots to lead the Blazers to a thrilling 1-0 win over Lesley University in Saturday’s New England Collegiate Conference women’s soccer showdown at Leary Field.

Lasell denies Lesley's 16th win on Senior Night
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University hosted their final regular season home contest on Thursday evening, but lost to Lasell College 1-0 in a hard-fought match from both teams. Lasell improves their record to 8-4-2 (6-3-2 GNAC) and Lesley drops to 15-2-1 (7-0-0 NECC). Following the end of the game, the Lynx honored four-year starter Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington, Mass.) with Senior Night activities.

Lesley breaks single season record with 15th victory
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University hosted Newbury College in a match up of New England Collegiate Conference women’s soccer teams and defeated the Nighthawks 5-1. The Lynx improved to 15-1-1 (7-0-0 NECC) while the Nighthawks dropped to 1-14 (0-6 NECC). Fifteen wins for Lesley breaks a single season program record in victories.

Bay Path hangs with NECC leaders Lesley; Lynx win 1-0
LONGMEADOW, Mass.—For the first 85 minutes of New England Collegiate Conference women’s soccer action, the Wildcats of Bay Path were able to hold off conference leaders the Lynx of Lesley. Despite the tough defensive stance the Wildcats held, the Lynx were finally able to score in the 86th minute winning the hard fought match 1-0.

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior forward Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) scored the only goal of the match and junior keeper Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) stopped all eight shots on net to lead the Lesley University women’s soccer team to victory over host UMass-Boston.

Lesley fends off UMD for 2-1 triumph
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s soccer team jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first half on Tuesday evening against UMass-Dartmouth and held on for the 2-1 victory. Both goals were scored by Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) and assisted by Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington, Mass.) as the two captains displayed their on-the-field leadership against a difficult non-conference opponent.

Women's soccer records fifth NECC shutout in 2008
NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Lesley University women’s soccer team improved to 5-0 in New England Collegiate Conference play after a 7-0 rout of Mitchell College. Six different Lynx players scored against the Mariners as the team once again proved why they are at the top of conference standings.

Lesley picks up 3-0 win over Mount Ida
NEWTON, Mass. – The women’s soccer team traveled to Mount Ida College for a non-conference match and walked away 3-0 victors as they were led by junior forward Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) who scored two goals in the triumph. The victory brings the Lynx record to 10-1-1 (4-0-0 NECC) while the Mustangs dropped to 3-6-1 (1-4-0 GNAC) on the season.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s soccer team defeated Southern Vermont College 4-0 on Saturday morning and in the process improved to 4-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference. Southern Vermont dropped to 0-4 after the loss.

Lynx suffer first loss to Mount Holyoke
SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Lesley University traveled to Western Massachusetts for a challenging match against NEWMAC opponent Mount Holyoke College on Tuesday evening but walked away with their first loss of the 2008 season. The Lynx played hard and were able to score two goals, but lost the match 4-2.

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s soccer team had another successful week as the Lynx went 2-0-0 over NECC opponents Daniel Webster College and Wheelock College. Leading the charge for the Lynx once again were the Fralick sisters who both earned awards from the NECC for their efforts.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Both Lesley University and Wheelock College fought through the occasional downpour during Sunday’s women’s soccer match, but the Lynx were able to score five goals to improve to 3-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference standings. Overall the Lynx are 8-0-1 (3-0-0 NECC) and Wheelock drops to 2-4-1 (1-1-1 NECC).

WENHAM, Mass. – Lesley University’s match up with non-conference opponent Gordon College ended in a 1-1 tie after two overtimes could not determine a winner. Both teams displayed tremendous defensive play throughout the entire 110 minute match.
