BOSTON, Mass. - Junior forward Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) scored the only goal of the match and junior keeper Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) stopped all eight shots on net to lead the Lesley University women's soccer team to victory over host UMass-Boston.

With the victory, the Lynx improved to 13-1-1 (5-0-0 NECC) winning their fifth straight contest while the Beacons dropped to 5-8-1 (2-1-1 LEC).

Fralick intercepted a pass in the backfield and deposited a low shot into the center of the back of the net for her 24th goal of the season at the 13:35 mark of the first half.  The teams played scoreless for the next 76:25 to make the score stand at 1-0.

For Lowe, it was her sixth shutout match of the season.

The Beacons threatened in the final 10 minutes of play when junior midfielder Erika Marsters (Mashpee, Mass.) put a shot on net that was stopped with 8:57 left in the second half and freshman forward Kristin Mulry's (Holbrook, Mass.) shot from inside the box went wide right with 3:48 remaining.

The backfield for the Lynx diverted several attacks towards the Lesley goal with Savannah Dunay (Effort, Pa.), Dory LeCount (Waltham, Mass.), Tracy Potter (Acton, Mass.), and Sarah Etzel (Manorville, N.Y.) taking a defensive stand.

Lesley will be in action next on Saturday at Bay Path College starting at 4:00 pm.
