ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference announced the winners of the first Players of the Week awards and Lesley University sisters Jodi and Jenna Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) claimed Player and Rookie of the Week.

The Lynx have started their 2008 campaign to the NECC Championships with a 4-0-0 start with victories over Lancaster Bible College, Thomas College, Rivier College, and Johnson State College.  With the leadership and scoring capabilities of the Fralick sisters, Lesley looks poised for a successful season.

Jodi came into the 2008 season needing just two goals to break the Lesley women's soccer all-time scoring mark of 45 goals, previously set by Laura Olsen.  Jodi not only broke the record in the first match against Lancaster Bible, but finished with a hat trick to lead Lesley to a 5-0 victory.

With the all-time scoring mark behind her, Jodi continued to rack up the points in the first week of the season as she currently has eight goals and two assists.

Jodi is not the only member of this highly talented Lynx squad to be scoring goals.  Jenna Fralick, in her freshman season at Lesley, tallied her first goal against Thomas College in a 4-0 victory.  In the next game against Rivier, Jenna netted two of the team's three goals in a 3-0 shutout of the Raiders.

Lesley has scored 16 goals in the first four games of the season, with the Fralick sisters accounting for 11 of them.  With the offense working on all cylinders and the defense shutting down opposing scorers, Lesley has looked impressive.

The Lynx will be back on the pitch this Saturday, September 13 at 3 pm against Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
