ATTLEBORO, Mass. - For the second week in a row, two Lesley University women's soccer players swept the New England Collegiate Conference weekly awards as Alyson Durben (Stow, Mass.) and Jenna Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) earned Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Although the Lynx played just one game last week, a 6-0 victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Durben and Fralick exploded offensively to lead their team to a 5-0-0 start to the 2008 season.

Durben recorded the first hat trick of her collegiate career and added an assist for a game-high seven point performance against the Buccaneers.  The sophomore was able to net the match's first goal in the 13th minute as she crossed the ball from 40 feet away to the back right corner of the goal.  The score would end up being the game-winning goal for the Lynx.

Durben is capable of scoring goals when needed, but her greatest attribute is an unselfish one.  Her ability to cross the ball into the box to find her teammates has been crucial to the Lynx offense so far this season.  In this same game against Mass Maritime, Durben showed off those skills by assisting on another goal by teammate Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) starting from a corner kick.  Durben now has four goals and two assists on the season, good for second on the team.

Winning back-to-back Rookie of the Week honors is freshman midfielder Jenna Fralick, who once again showed why she will be a valuable member of this 2008 Lynx squad.  Fralick was a part of three different goals for the Lynx, each with a different teammate.

Fralick's goal before the end of the first half was her fourth of the season as Haley Puckhaber (Lake Placid, N.Y.) got the assist to give Lesley the 4-0 lead going into halftime.

Jenna would assist on the final two goals of the match for Lesley, hooking up with sister Jodi and Durben.

The Lynx will look to continue their early season success against tough non-conference opponent Gordon College on Tuesday at 2:30 pm.
