Jodi Fralick tops NCAA DIII in stolen bases per game
July 21, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The NCAA has honored graduated senior catcher Jodi Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) as the statistical leader in stolen bases per game for the 2010 season. Fralick swiped 43 bags in 47 attempts this past season at a rate of 1.1 stolen bases per game. -
NECC Winter and Spring All-Conference
June 25, 2010LONGMEADOW, Mass. - Seven Lesley University student-athletes from the winter and spring seasons earned New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference. These student-athletes of sophomore standing or higher maintained a 3.40 GPA or higher during their season of play. -
Lynx end ECAC run with 5-1 loss to Bridgewater State
May 16, 2010KEENE, N.H. The Lesley University softball team ended their run in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament with a 5-1 loss to Bridgewater State College, finishing their 2010 campaign with a 26-13 record. The Lynx recorded their third straight season with at least 25 wins and won their third conference title in-a-row. -
Lesley advances to day two of ECAC Tournament
May 15, 2010KEENE, N .H. The #2 seed Lesley University softball earned their first ever Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament victory with a 15-7, five-inning triumph over #6 seed Worcester State College as the Lynx advanced to day two of the post-season tournament. Lesley lost their second game to #1 seed Keene State 10-0, but will continue in the double-elimination tournament on Sunday morning. -
Women retain NECC Champions Cup; Men place third
May 14, 2010ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) concluded its second season with the Daniel Webster College Eagles and the Lesley University Lynx winning the 2009-10 Men's and Women's NECC Champions Cup for their top performances in conference regular-season and tournament play. -
Fralick and Mangiaratti honored by NFCA and NEISCA

Senior Jodi Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) and freshman Emily Mangiaratti (AMHERST, Mass./Amherst Regional) were recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and the New England Intercollegiate Softball Coaches Association (NEISCA) with regional accolades after helping the Lynx to a 25-11 record, their third consecutive conference title, and their second Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament berth in-a-row. -
NCAA invites Correa, Dunay, and Durben to Sports Forum
May 11, 2010INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. Yair Correa (PAWTUCKET, R.I./St. Raphael Academy), Savannah Dunay (EFFORT, Pa./Pleasant Valley) and Alyson Durben (STOW, Mass./Nashoba Regional) will join over 400 other student-athletes from across the nation for the NCAA Career in Sports Forum held at the Downtown Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana from May 11-14, where participants will learn about sports professions, specifically in collegiate athletics. -

Lesley wins second NECC title in dramatic fashion

A sacrifice fly by Lesley junior Alyson Durben (STOW, Mass./Nashoba Regional) that scored Jessica Guevara (NANTUCKET, Mass./Nantucket) in the eighth inning against Elms College, lifted the Lesley University softball to a 4-3 triumph and the 2010 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) softball championship. The Lynx, who earned the #1 seed coming into the tournament, held up their ranking and earned their second consecutive NECC title. -
Lesley unscathed after day one of NECC Championships
May 07, 2010BOSTON, Mass. The #1 seed in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Softball playoffs, the Lesley University Lynx, won both of their games on day one of the conference championship weekend defeating #4 seed Bay Path College 6-2 and #2 seed Elms College 8-2. Elms won their first game of the day, beating #3 seed Mitchell College 4-0 before falling to the Lynx. Bay Path was sent home in the double-elimination tournament after losing to Mitchell 5-0. -
NECC Softball All-Conference Awards

Eight of the nine sponsored programs were represented on 2010 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Softball All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, four separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week. -

The Lesley University softball team got back to their winning ways after a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) doubleheader sweep of Wheelock College on Thursday afternoon. The Lynx won 13-0 and 10-4 to improved to 19-10 (12-1 NECC) while the Wildcats dropped to 1-23 (1-11 NECC). -

The Lesley University softball team swept Mitchell College 9-2 and 10-0 in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) doubleheader Saturday afternoon and in the process took over first place in the conference standings. The Lynx improved to 16-9 (9-0 NECC) while the previously unbeaten Mariners lost their first conference games, dropping to 18-10 (10-2 NECC). -
Lynx capture 10-2 win over Nighthawks
April 22, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Lesley University beat Newbury College 10-2 in six innings on Thursday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) softball action and in the process improved their 2010 record to 14-9 (7-0 NECC). The Nighthawks dropped to 9-16 (2-7 NECC) following the loss. Game two was postponed and will be made up at a later date. -
Lesley and Framingham State split two

The Lesley University softball team took game one of a non-conference doubleheader with Framingham State College 7-1 behind a dominating, eight-strikeout pitching performance from Cassandra Knox (SEA CLIFF, N.Y./North Shore). The Lynx dropped game two 7-6, but now currently stand at 13-9 (6-0 NECC). -

The Lynx remained undefeated in conference play, improving to 12-8 (6-0 NECC) while the Wildcats dropped to 13-17 (2-6 NECC). -

April 11, 2010WELLESLEY, Mass. The Lesley University softball team held a 6-5 lead going into the bottom of the seventh inning against Wellesley College, but two runs helped the Blue earn a walk-off 7-6 victory in game one. Wellesley went on to no-hit Lesley in game two to complete the sweep. -

Emily Mangiaratti named NECC Rookie of the Week
March 29, 2010ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Freshman outfielder Emily Mangiaratti (AMHERST, Mass./Amherst Regional) went 5-for-8 including a triple with three runs scored, two RBI, and three stolen bases in a doubleheader sweep of Regis College last Friday. For her efforts she was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week.
