    ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Lesley University senior Danielle McDonald (Lilitz, Pa.) has been named 2015 New England Collegiate Conference Defensive Player of the Year. McDonald, who is the first in Lesley program history to garner the award, led the conference in total digs (422) and digs per set (4.44) while helping the Lynx to the NECC Championship match for the second straight season

    WESTON, Mass. – Top-seed Regis College captured their second straight New England Collegiate Conference Championship with a come-from-behind, 3-2 victory over the Lesley University women’s volleyball team on Saturday afternoon in Weston, Mass. The Lynx claimed the first two sets but could not close out the Pride who rallied to take the next three sets and earn the victory 19-25, 19-25, 25-19, 25-17, 15-12.

The top-seeded Pride will host No. 4 seed Daniel Webster College in the first Semifinal match of the night starting at 6:00p.

The Fighting Scots won the first two sets before the Lynx stormed back to win the third and fourth sets to knot the match at 2-2, but Gordon hung on to win a tight fifth and deciding set to earn the victory.

The Lynx started the day with a 3-1 (25-15, 25-19, 16-25, 25-14) loss to the host Lions before dropping a tough five set match to the Bears 3-2 (25-14, 24-26, 25-17, 23-25, 15-13). Lesley now stands at 2-4 on the season.

    SALEM, Mass. – The Lesley University women’s volleyball team earned their second straight victory as they upended host Salem State University 3-1 tonight on the road at the Twohig Gynasium. After dropping the first set 27-25, the Lynx stormed back to sweep the next three 25-22, 25-17, and 25-15.

    QUINCY, Mass.- The Lesley University women’s volleyball team earned their first victory of the season, dropping host Eastern Nazarene College in straight sets, 3-0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-12), this evening in non-conference play at the Lahue Center. The win was the first career victory for head coach Maribeth Martin as the Lynx improve to 1-2 overall. With the loss, the Lions fall to 1-4.
