Women's Volleyball Receives ECAC Tournament Bid

DANBURY, Conn. – The Lesley University women's volleyball team has received a postseason bid to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Women's Volleyball Championship. The Lynx, who finished the season 16-9 after a 3-2 loss to Regis College in the New England Collegiate Conference Championship, will play as the No. 3 seed in the tournament.

This year's tournament features a four-team field, with both the Semifinals and Finals slated for Saturday at No. 2 seed and host Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. The Lynx and Trailblazers will battle in the Semifinal Round at 1:00p.

MCLA wrapped up their season at 23-10 and fell in the in MASCAC Championship 3-0 to Framingham State.

Endicott College was announced as the top seed and will battle No. 4 Anna Maria College in the first match of the day at 11:00a.

The Gulls finished the season with an overall divisional record of 22-10 and dropped a 3-2 decision to Gordon College in the CCC Championship. The fourth-seeded Amcats went 17-15 in their 2015 campaign and was eliminated in the Quarterfinal Round of the GNAC Tournament.

The winners of the two Semifinal matches will compete in the Finals on Saturday at 3:00p.
