Marden Takes Home NECC Player of the Week Honors

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Lesley University senior Emily Marden (Fremont, Calif.) has been named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week. NECC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Rebecca Mullin made the announcement this afternoon in the conference Weekly Report.

Marden was effective on both sides of the ball to help propel the Lynx to a 2-0 week with non-conference wins over Emmanuel College and Emmanuel College.

Emily Marden (Senior - Fremont, Calif.) - Marden was key in a perfect 2-0 week for the Lynx. The senior setter dished out 33 assists to go with eight digs in a 3-0 win over Emmanuel before registering 35 assists, 17 digs, and six kills in a 3-1 win over Anna Maria. Marden averaged 9.71 assists per set on the week along with 3.57 digs per set.

The Lynx are back in action on Monday night when they travel to Mount Ida College before they open up NECC play on Saturday with a match at Mitchell College.
