Nigel Leahy takes off-season workouts to the next level

Lesley men's soccer names captains for 2010 season
March 01, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Head Men's Soccer Coach Paul Vasconcelos has announced the three team captains for the 2010 season. Senior midfielder Tyler Reeves (COVENTRY, Conn./Coventry), senior defender Stephen Siragusa (VALLEY STREAM, N.Y./Valley Stream) will join senior goalkeeper Zachary Almeida-Beers (REHOBOTH, Mass./Dighton-Rehoboth Regional) as the leaders of the Lynx. -
Sixteen fall student-athletes earn NECC All-Academic
February 19, 2010ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) honored fall student-athletes who met the 3.40 GPA minimum standard and who were either of sophomore, junior, or senior class status. Sixteen of the 153 student-athletes were from Lesley University. -
Vasconcelos named College Coach of the Year by EMASS

Ari Sinanis named Second Team ECAC New England All-Star
December 02, 2009CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Freshman Ari Sinanis (GUILFORD, Conn./Guilford) stormed onto the New England collegiate soccer scene this past fall and led the Lynx to an appearance in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Quarterfinals. For his efforts this season, the ECAC has recognized Sinanis as a Second Team New England All-Star. -

October 17, 2009NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Mitchell College men’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 conference match-up to Lesley University on Saturday afternoon. Lesley (12-3-2 overall, 4-1-1 NECC) scored the game’s only goal in the 60th minute off a set play on a corner kick. Ari Sinanis (Guilford, Conn.) took the corner and served a ball to the far post, where Stephen Siragusa (Valley Stream, N.Y.) finished it off with a header into the back of the net. -

October 13, 2009CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Newbury College mens soccer team upset visiting Lesley University today in a thrilling overtime 2-1 victory on a rain-soaked field in Chestnut Hill, MA. Andi Maska (Roslindale, MA/English) led his squad with an assist in the first half and the game-winner just over three minutes into the overtime period. -

The Lynx (9-2-2) were led by a goal and an assist from junior midfielder Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn./Coventry). First year Scott Coderre (Thompson, Conn.) scored both goals for the Bison (7-5). -

October 06, 2009CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A second half goal by Darius Koep (PITTSTOWN, N.J./Del-Val) lifted the Lesley University men’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Suffolk University on Tuesday evening and in the process improved their season record to 8-2-2 (1-0-1 NECC). The Rams dropped to 4-3-2 (1-0-2 GNAC) following the loss. -

Gordon shuts out Lesley with three second half goals
September 14, 2009CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Lesley University men’s soccer team faced off against a talented Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Gordon College squad and lost to the Fighting Scots 3-0 after giving up all three tallies in the second stanza. The Lynx suffered their first loss and move to 3-1-1 while Gordon improved to 2-3 (1-0 TCCC).
