WOMEN'S SOCCER

PLAYER OF THE WEEK -Elms College junior forward Alison Couture (Chicopee, Mass.) netted two of her team's three goals in a shutout of NECC rival Daniel Webster. Couture helped the Blazers to a 1-1 week, while tallying four points on the week.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Becker College freshman forward Caroline Plunkett (Rockaway, N.Y.) scored three goals and one assist during a 1-2 week.  Plunkett led her team to a NECC victory over Wheelock 5-0. netting two goals and one assist for the Hawks. She finished the week with seven points.

MEN'S SOCCER

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Daniel Webster College sophomore forward Spencer Bernard (Windsor Locks, Conn.) led his team to a 2-0 undefeated week. Bernard had both game-winning goals for the Eagles, including a 2-0 shutout of Mount Ida and a 4-3 overtime victory over NECC rival Elms. He headed in the winning goal with 1:46 left in overtime against the Blazers. This was the Eagles' fifth straight victory, becoming the longest winning streak in Daniel Webster's history, snapping the previous record that had stood since 1993.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK- Lesley University freshman midfielder Darius Koep (Pittstown, N.J.) recorded four points for the Lynx. Koep helped the Lynx to a 1-0-1 week, notching two goals including the game winner in a 3-2 victory over Rivier. Lesley also tied 1-1 in double overtime against NECC opponent Southern Vermont.

FIELD HOCKEY

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Elms College junior forward Andrea Ramsdell (Gardner, Mass.) netted one goal and had an assist in a 3-1 win over NECC rival Bay Path. For the week, Ramsdell tallied three points.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK -Fellow Elms College teammate freshman Alexandra Bonavita (Agawam, Mass.) collected eight saves en route to a 3-1 victory over NECC opponent Bay Path. For her 70:00 minutes of play, Bonavita faced 16 shots, including nine on goal, allowing only one goal for the contest.

VOLLEYBALL

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - After two straight weeks of rookie honors, Daniel Webster College freshman outside hitter Chelsey Crawford (Westfield, Mass.) was named NECC Player of the Week.  Crawford led the Eagles to a 2-0 week, shutting down NECC rivals Elms and Newbury by 3-0 counts. She swung her way to a .326 hitting percentage. For the week, Crawford had 21 kills (3.50 per set), three aces (0.50 per set), 12 digs (2.00 per set) and four blocks (0.67 per set). 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Daniel Webster College freshman outside hitter Samantha Hill (Hudson, N.H.) helped the Eagles to a 2-0 sweep of NECC opponents Newbury and Elms. Hill notched a .317 attack percentage with17 kills (2.83 per set), 6 digs (1.00 per set), 6 assists (1.00 per set) and two block solos (0.67 per set).

WOMEN'S TENNIS

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Becker College junior Danielle Stryker (Ledyard, Conn.) led the Hawks to a 3-0 week. Stryker went undefeated with a 3-0 record at the # 3 singles position and a 3-0 mark at #1 doubles against Anna Maria, Mitchell and MCLA in regional and conference action.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Lesley University freshman Michelle Side (Miller Place, N.Y.) led the Lynx to a two-match sweep of Johnson State winning 9-0 and 8-1. At the #2 singles spot, she won 8-1 and 8-0 in pro-set scoring while teaming with Caroline Cingari for 8-5 and 9-8 (7-4 tie-breaker) victories at the #1 doubles position.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

RUNNER OF THE WEEK - For the third straight week, Lesley University freshman Noa Kupfer (Woodbridge, Mass.) was awarded runner of the week honors. She finished 13th in the Pop Crowell Invitational. Kupfer crossed the finish line with a 19:57 time. She led her team to a 13th place finish with 341 points ahead of NECC schools Wheelock, Newbury and Daniel Webster.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Lesley University freshman Jess Arnold (Hilton, N.Y.) finished 70th with a 21:38 5K time at the Pop Crowell Invitational. She led her team to a 13th place finish with 341 points ahead of NECC school's Wheelock, Newbury and Daniel Webster.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

RUNNER OF THE WEEK - Mitchell College junior John Hoffman (Bala Cynwyd, Penn.) grabbed first place honors with his season best finish of 28:16 in the Post University Race. Hoffman led his team to a 2nd place finish with 48 points for the 8K. He was one of only two harriers to break the 29 minute mark.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Mitchell College freshman Vernon Wilson (Vernon, N.Y.) was awarded the NECC rookie honor. Wilson finished in the top ten with a 10th place finish crossing through the gate with a season best 33:52 8K time at the Post University Race. The Mariners placed 2nd as a team with 48 points.

GOLF

GOLFER OF THE WEEK - Elms College senior Andrew Sullivan (West Springfield, Mass.) shot a 160 (82-78) to tie for 26th place at the ECAC Championships. Early in the week, Sullivan tied for 13th with an 83 in the Blazers Invitation al on his home course. His team placed 12th in the ECAC Championships with a 680 while taking 8th with a 364 in the Blazers Invite.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Fellow Blazer and Elms College freshman Dave Pianki (West Suffield, Conn.) shot an 85 for an 18th place finish in the Blazers Invitational. Pianki proceeded to shoot 158 with a first round 77 and second round 81 in the ECAC Championships to tie for 18th place again.
