A tremendous athlete, Hana quickly became one of the hardest and best hitters on the team. When Hana stepped onto the court her sophomore she was no longer one of the outside hitter's but was the team's libero, a defensive specialist.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After a grueling four games the University of Maine at Farmington defeated Lesley University 15-13 in the fifth game to advance to the NAC women's volleyball semifinals. The Beavers will face defending NAC Champs and the #1 seeded Mount Ida College Mustangs in the semifinals at Mount Ida on Saturday, November 4th.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - In her last week of regular season play in her collegiate career Megan Bol (Whitinsville, Mass.) went out on the highest note. The senior setter ended her 2006 campaign with a 73 assist, 12 kill and 7 ace week, her hitting percentage was an astronomical .353. Helping to lead her team to a 4th place finish in the NAC Bol was recognized by the NAC for her efforts as she was named NAC Player of the Week.
FARMINGTON, Me. - After blowing a two game to none lead Lesley University escaped Farmington, ME with a sweep of U-Maine Farmington and Thomas College. With the two wins Lesley finished the season 13-10 overall and 6-4 in the NAC. The 6 13 wins and the 6 conference wins are the most in the program's history. The Lady Lynx also owned the tie-breaker with Farmington so they finished fourth in the conference which is also their best finish in their program's history.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Despite tough play from both sides of the net Newbury College was able to out muscle Lesley University 3-0 (23-30, 26-30, 22-30) at BB&N, Lesley's home court.
