Hana Sakamoto awarded Honorable Mention by NAC

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Hana Sakamoto (Tokyo, JAPAN) stepped onto the court her freshman year as one of the team's outside hitter's.  A tremendous athlete, Hana quickly became one of the hardest and best hitters on the team.  When Hana stepped onto the court her sophomore she was no longer one of the outside hitter's but was the team's libero, a defensive specialist.

Being very athletic it took Hana no time at all to adjust to her new position and before long she was excelling at it.  Hana was a key to the team's success this year and was one of the reasons that the Lady Lynx concluded the regular season 4th in the North Atlantic Conference.  The NAC's coaches recognized this and voted Hana to the Honorable Mention All-NAC Team.

In ten conference matches this season Hana led the Lynx with 159 digs (4.42 per game).  In all contests Hana also led the Lynx with in digs with 385 (5.07 per game).  Hana finished second in the conference in digs per games.
