    Jesus Trejo, Lesley’s all-time scoring and rebounding leader, has embarked on his professional career after signing on to play for the Leones de Santo Domingo of the Ligo de Nacional Baloncesto (LNB) of the Dominican Republic.

    Lesley junior John Sanchez was named All-New England Collegiate Conference First Team, the league announced this afternoon. The 5-8 point guard led the league in assists while also finishing third in the conference in scoring. Teammate Jesus Trejo was named All-NECC Honorable Mention.

    Trailing by two at halftime, Lesley was held to 15 percent shooting the the second half as Daniel Webster topped the Lynx, 78-56, on Senior Night in Cambridge. Thorton Paul and Jesus Trejo shined in their Lesley farewells, as Paul scored 16 points and Trejo grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.

    Salem State shot 8-14 from three-point range in the first half in the Vikings 100-60 win over Lesley Thursday night. Lesley's John Stockton scored a career-high 14 points, and Harold Smith posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

    John Sanchez converted on 17 free throws on 19 attempts, both Lesley records, as the Lynx kept their hopes playoff hopes afloat in an 84-77 victory at Mitchell Tuesday night. Sanchez paced four Lynx in double figures, posting game-highs of 21 points and eight assists.

    Junior guard John Sanchez enjoyed his finest game of the month with game-highs of 25 points and seven assists, but 22 percent second half shooting dropped the Lynx in the team's quest for a first NECC victory. A trio of double-digit scorers led Newbury to its second win over Lesley in two weeks, 75-60, Thursday night in Brookline.

    Lance Spratling scored a game-high 34 points for Southern Vermont, pacing the Mountaineers to a 101-85 win over the Lynx. John Sanchez led Lesley with 23 points. Thorton Paul kept his hot hand with 14 points.

    A 13-0 run starting at the 6:26 mark of the second half turned a four-point Lynx lead into a 59-50 deficit, which was too much for the Lynx to overcome in a 62-58 defeat to Newbury Tuesday night in Cambridge. Thorton Paul threw in a team-best 19 points for Lesley.

John Sanchez tied for game-high honors with 24 points, while Jesus Trejo (pictured) led all players with 12 rebounds.

    UMass-Boston opened the game on a 21-6 run and used 7-15 first half shooting from distance to open a 43-29 halftime lead in besting Lesley, 88-78, Thursday night. Junior John Sanchez posted a double-double of 15 points and a career-high 12 assists for the Lynx, and Nicholas Sparacino added 11 points off the bench.

    After a career week that saw him hit a game-winning free throw in the Lynx last-minute triumph over Curry and score a career-high 26 points on Saturday at WIT, Lesley guard John Sanchez has been named New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week. For the week, Sanchez averaged 21.5 points, 9.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and two steals in 35.5 minutes per game.
