NECC Winter and Spring All-ConferenceJune 25, 2010LONGMEADOW, Mass. - Seven Lesley University student-athletes from the winter and spring seasons earned New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference. These student-athletes of sophomore standing or higher maintained a 3.40 GPA or higher during their season of play.

NECC Men's Volleyball All-Conference SelectionsMarch 26, 2010ATTLEBORO, Mass. All five sponsored programs were represented on the 2010 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Mens Volleyball All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, four separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week.

Lesley downs Regis 3-0 on Senior NightMarch 25, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The Lesley University mens volleyball team honored three seniors who played in their final home match of their collegiate careers and defeated Regis College 3-0 (30-9, 30-20, 30-27). The Lynx finished the regular season 6-17 and will now look forward to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Semifinals against Daniel Webster College on Saturday afternoon.

In their first match back after spring break, the Lesley University mens volleyball team handed Regis College a 3-0 (30-12, 31-29, 30-16) loss behind 20 kills from senior Scott Wheeler (EAST HAMPTON, Conn./East Hampton). The Lynx improved to 3-14 while the Pride dropped to 4-17.

Lynx fall 3-0 to LeopardsMarch 03, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Zachary Almeida-Beers (REHOBOTH, Mass./Dighton-Rehoboth Regional) spiked home a team-high 11 kills but it was not enough to withhold the Wentworth Institute of Technology attack. The Leopards won 3-0 (30-21, 30-19, 30-28), improving to 12-6 (7-3 NECVA) while the Lynx dropped to 2-13 (2-10 NECVA, 2-4 NECC).

Lynx lose in three to No. 13 EndicottFebruary 24, 2010BEVERLY, Mass. For the second time in exactly one week the 13th-ranked Endicott mens volleyball team posted a 3-0 win over Lesley University in an NECVA New England Divisional match-up. The Gulls B.J. Worth (Londonderry, N.H.) had a game-high nine kills in the win. Endicott moves to 15-4 overall and 6-0 in league play while the Lynx fall to 2-11 and 2-8 in the conference.

Newbury 3, Lesley 0February 22, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The Lesley University mens volleyball team dropped a conference home match to Newbury College 3-0 (30-12, 30-24, 30-12) and saw their season record fall to 2-10 (2-6 NECVA, 2-4 NECC). Newbury improved to 13-4 (9-0 NECVA, 6-0 NECC) follow the straight set victory.

Lynx lose 3-0 to EndicottFebruary 17, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The Lesley University mens volleyball team lost to Endicott College on Wednesday by the score of 3-0 (30-16, 30-12, 30-12), dropping their 2010 season record to 2-9 (2-6 NECVA, 2-3 NECC). Endicott continued their unbeaten streak in NECVA New England division play, improving to 10-4 (5-0 NECVA).

Lynx lose in straight sets to No. 13 MITFebruary 15, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The nationally-ranked No. 13 MIT mens volleyball team extended its winning streak to four following a 30-12, 30-23, 30-8 victory over Lesley University in a North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) New England Division match on Monday. The Engineers now stand at 11-4 overall and 6-2 in conference play while the Lynx saw their ledger dip to 2-8 on the year and 2-5 in NECVA action.

Lasers sweep Lynx, 3-0February 08, 2010Newton, MA- Lasells mens volleyball team swept Lesley University, 3-0, in non-conference action this evening in quick sets; 30-18, 30-22, 30-14. Lasell had top performances from freshman outside hitter Spencer Parker (Newington, CT), who totaled nine kills in two sets, as well as junior middle Dan Rogers (Belchertown, MA), junior middle Mike Harrington (Billerica, MA), and junior right side Matt Roberts (Agawam, MA), who each collected eight kills in the match.

Eagles lose first set; come back to win 3-1 over LynxFebruary 03, 2010CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The Lesley University mens volleyball team took the first set against New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) rival Daniel Webster College, but the Eagles gained composure to take the next three sets to win 3-1 (23-30, 30-18, 30-12, 32-30) for their first victory of the season. The Lynx dropped to 1-4 on the season while the Eagles improved to 1-1.

Johnson & Wales sweeps Lesley 3-0February 01, 2010Providence, R.I. The Johnson & Wales University mens volleyball team swept Lesley by a score of 3-0 in a non-conference contest at the Harborside Recreation Center on Monday evening. Johnson & Wales posted a 30-17 victory in game one and took the 2-0 lead with a 30-20 game two win. The Wildcats then closed out the evening with a 30-13 win in game three.

Mountaineers Fall, Lesley Gets First WJanuary 30, 2010BENNINGTON, Vt. The Southern Vermont College mens volleyball team came up short against New England Collegiate Conference foe the Lesley University Lynx losing 3-1 (31-29, 22-30, 24-30, 15-30) Saturday night in the Field House. Junior middle hitter Zach Almeida-Beers led the Lynx with 17 kills and 22 digs. Sophomore middle hitter Sean Moore led SVC with 12 kills.

The Nighthawks were led by junior middle hitter, Max Daley (Cranston, RI) with 12 kills and a .400 hitting percentage.
