Providence, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales University
men's volleyball team swept Lesley by a score of 3-0 in a
non-conference contest at the Harborside Recreation Center on
Monday evening. Johnson & Wales posted a 30-17 victory in game
one and took the 2-0 lead with a 30-20 game two win. The Wildcats
then closed out the evening with a 30-13 win in game three
Sophomore Mark Garlock (East Greenwich, R.I.) led the way for
Johnson & Wales with 14 kills, four digs and two service aces
while freshman Sean Livesy (West Greenwich, R.I.) had 10 kills and
seven digs for the Wildcats. Sophomore Robert Slough (Buffalo,
N.Y.) added 32 se assists and four kills in the victory.
Senior Nick Assad (Andover, Mass.) paced Lesley with eight kills
and six digs while junior Stephen Siragusa (Valley Stream, N.Y.)
added 21 set assists and three digs or the Lynx.
With the victory Johnson & Wales is now 2-5 for the year while
Lesley falls to 1-3. The Wildcats will return to action on
Saturday, February 6th when they host Regis in a non-conference
contest at 4:00 p.m.
