LEICESTER, Mass. – Becker College won the inaugural New England Collegiate Conference Men’s Soccer Championship after defeating Lesley University 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead within the first seven minutes of the match that created an insurmountable deficit for the Lynx.
NEW LONDON, Conn. – In the New England Collegiate Conference Semifinals, the Lesley University men’s soccer team found themselves matched up with Mitchell College, a team that had beaten them 4-3 earlier in the season and finished conference play undefeated at 6-0. CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In a match up of New England Collegiate Conference opponents, Newbury College defeated Lesley University 3-2. The two teams exchanged goals throughout the match, but an early second half goal by Newbury senior John Mawson (Amherst, Mass.) gave the Nighthawks a lead they would not relinquish.
NEWTON, Mass. – A day after completing a dramatic comeback victory over Southern Vermont College on Saturday, Lesley was unable to maintain their momentum as they lost to GNAC foe Mount Ida College 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, Lesley moves to 4-7-1 (2-0-0 NECC) while Mount Ida improved to 6-2-3 (3-0-0 GNAC).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Southern Vermont College took a 1-0 lead deep into the second half, but Lesley University was able to score two goals to capture the lead and hold onto a slim 2-1 victory over the Mountaineers Saturday afternoon. The Lynx improved to 4-6-1 (2-0-0 NECC) with the win while the Mountaineers dropped to 2-9-1 (1-2-0 NECC).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University and Massachusetts Maritime Academy battled through two overtimes on Monday night and ended in a 1-1 tie after 110 minutes. It was the first overtime game of the season for the Lynx as they were able to stick with a difficult MASCAC opponent.
NEWTON, Mass.- The Lynx of Lesley University were no match for the Lasers in this afternoons men’s soccer matchup, as Lasell dominated the game to win, 8-0. Goalkeeper Julian Dutton (Madison, Conn.) picked up his second consecutive shutout, along with 7 saves, in today’s contest. With this win, the Lasers’ overall record improves to 3-4-0.
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn.) earned the award for New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his Lesley career after the Lynx went 1-1-0 in the past week. In 2007, Reeves had won Rookie of the Week honors on two separate occasions.

WENHAM, Mass. – The Lesley University men’s soccer team visited Gordon College in a difficult non-conference match up Tuesday afternoon. The Lynx lost 1-0, but gave a gritty, hard-fought performance against a high-powered opponent.

The loss dropped Lesley’s record to 2-3-0 while Johnson won their first game of the 2008 season.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Lesley University men’s soccer defeated Rivier College 1-0 on Saturday afternoon after a single goal was scored in the first half by sophomore striker Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn.).
WESTON, Mass. – It took the Lesley University men’s soccer team 262 minutes to score goal of the season, but Woody Davidson’s (Keeseville, N.Y.) go-ahead score in the second half against Regis College elevated the Lynx to their first victory of the season.
WATERVILLE, Me. – Thomas College’s Tim Costa (Pelham, N.H.) took only two minutes to score the game’s first goal and only goal the Terriers would need to win the game.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In the first match of the season for both men’s teams from Lesley University and Lancaster Bible College, the Chargers edged the Lynx 1-0 on a late second half goal by Cory Greiser (Quakertown, Pa.).
