ATTLEBORO, Mass. - Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn.) earned the award for New England Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his Lesley career after the Lynx went 1-1-0 in the past week.  In 2007, Reeves had won Rookie of the Week honors on two separate occasions.

The Lynx came into NECC play with a 2-5-0 record, having either won or lost each of their games by way of a shutout.  Their first match of conference play against Becker College was a memorable one as Lesley was able to pull out a 2-1 victory over the preseason favorite Hawks.

Reeves was an offensive star for the Lynx as he scored both goals off two different lead passes from Scott Wheeler (East Hampton, Conn.) and Zach Rocha (New Bedford, Mass.).  The sophomore striker now has three goals on the season and is the leading scorer for the Lynx.

Earlier in the week, the men's soccer team faced a tough Gordon College squad in a tight 1-0 loss.  Despite owning a 3-5-0 record, Lesley is now 1-0-0 in the conference and will look to continue that success throughout the season.

Reeves and the rest of the men's soccer team will face off in a non-conference match with Lasell College on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
