Fralick hat trick lifts Lynx in overwhelming 14-0 win

BOSTON -- Jenna Fralick scored a hat trick in Lesley's 14-0 win over Wheelock Saturday afternoon, one of 11 Lynx to find the back of the net at Boston's Winsor Field.

Eleven other Lynx scored a goal a piece, including sophomores Jackee Sanchez and Veronica Halen, each of whom tallied her league-leading 12th of the season, and freshman Christina Ogunti, who scored the first of her career.

Fralick started the scoring at 8:24, tapping home a long cross from Katharine Bradley, who upped the lead to 2-0 off a cross from Halen four minutes later. Fralick's second of the day made it a 3-0 game, and she then assisted on Kate Ryder's fourth goal in the last five games. The senior co-captain completed her hat trick on a flick from 10 yards at 22:40.

Taylor Smith's first goal of the season, a hard line drive from the top of the goalkeeper box on a feed from Ryder, upped the lead to 7-0, and Ryder then assisted on Halen's 12th to make it 8-0. Sarah Apgar's fifth of the season rounded out the first half scoring, sending Lesley into halftime leading 9-0.

Ogunti, Jamie Coyne and Haley Puckhaber tallied their first goals of the year out of the intermission, and Kelsey Fitzgerald and Casey Decareau each scored for the second straight game in rounding out the 14-0 victory.

Lesley outshot Wheelock 55-3.

The Lynx return to play on Tuesday night at home against Becker.
