Lynx ground Eagles, 9-0, in NECC opener

NASHUA , NH -- Lesley University benefitted from two goals a piece from sophomore Veronica Halen, senior Jenna Fralick and freshman Alexis Giusti in a 9-0 victory over Daniel Webster in the Green and Gold's New England Collegiate Conference opner Saturday afternoon.

The Lynx jumped out to a 4-0 halftime lead behind goals from Giusti (Meridian, CA/Yuba City), two from Halen (San Diego, CA/Cathedral Catholic) and one from the New England Collegiate Conference's leading scorer Jackee Sanchez, who extended her league-leading goal total to 10.

Fralick (Woburn, MA/Woburn) got the scoring started in the second half, and sophomore Sarah Apgar (Andover, NJ/Lenape) scored in between Fralick goals, the second of which put the visitors on top 7-0. Guisti's second of the game and fifth of her season made it an 8-0 game, and Casey Decareau's (Haverhill, MA/Georgetown) first of the year rounded out the scoring in an easy 9-0 win to open NECC play.
