Lynx blank Badgers 4-0

Lynx blank Badgers 4-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lesley University outshot Johnson College 43-0 and had three different goal scorers in a 4-0 shut out on Sunday afternoon.  The win improves the Lynx record to 4-0-0 (0-0-0 NECC) while the Badgers drop to 0-2-0 (0-0-0 NAC).

The Lesley offense got started in the 15th minute when Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) scored off after a soft touch pass from Emma Fogg (Wellesley, Mass.) for her seventh goal of the season.

Fralick would score her eight of the season in the second half with an assist from sophomore Dory LeCount (Waltham, Mass.).  For LeCount, it would be her first point tallied in her collegiate career at Lesley.

Junior Cathryn Folkestad (Ipswich, Mass.) netted her first goal of the season at 49:46 as she connected with Fralick for Lesley's third goal of the game.

Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington, Mass.) would top off the scoring on the day as the captain found the back of the net after Savannah Dunay (Effort, Pa.) crossed the ball nicely off a corner kick straight to her teammate.

Lesley keeper's Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) and Miranda Matson (Gigs Harbor, Wash.) never faced a shot on goal from Johnson State.

Lesley will be back in action next Saturday, September 13 at 3 pm against Massachusetts Maritime Academy.  Johnson State plays again tomorrow night against Paul Smith's College.
