Fralick named Rookie of the Year

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) became the first athlete in the history of Lesley University to be named NAC Rookie of the Year for any sport.  Fralick was named the 2006 NAC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Year.

Fralick came to Lesley with high expectations of her.  A highly sought after recruit Fralick was a three-sport athlete (soccer, basketball and softball) at Woburn High School, excelling in all three.  She quickly showed that those expectations of her were warranted and she even exceed them as she scored six goals and had two assists in her first two games and was named as the NAC Player of the Week.

Fralick finished the season with 22 goals and 7 assists (51 points) in just 19 games.  In conference games, the criteria for all-conference voting, Fralick netted 9 goals and had 2 assists (20 points) in just 12 games.  Fralick finished second in the conference in scoring to Husson's Shelby Pickering who was named the NAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year.

Fralick steps onto the basketball court this week as her second season of Lesley sports begins.  With no telling how far Fralick will go Lesley Athletics waits with anticipation to see what she will do for an encore.
