Terry Earns NAC Defensive Player of the Week

NAC OFFICIAL RELEASE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lesley University women's basketball junior forward Bella Terry (El Cajon, Calif.) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon. For Terry, she has now been named NAC Defensive Player of the Week two times this season.

Terry had a solid week last week for Lesley, including a NAC win over SUNY Delhi, 61-32. It was the lowest points allowed by the Lynx all season. The junior forward totaled 47 points (15.6 PPG) while recording her 12th and 13th double-doubles of the season against Salem State and SUNY Delhi. She grabbed 25 rebounds (8.3 RPG) across three games and has now recorded 10 or more rebounds in 13 different contests this season.

She started the week with a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double in a tough loss to Salem State last Wednesday but followed up that performance with another double-double. In the victory against SUNY Delhi, Terry finished with a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double while also swatting away three shots. She has now recorded two or more blocks in 10 games this year.

Terry and the Lynx will conclude the regular season with two games this week. Lesley takes on VTSU Lyndon in its NAC finale on Tuesday, February 11, at 5:30 p.m. and then concludes the regular season on Saturday, February 15, at noon.
