CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Lesley University First Year guard, Jaira Moore (Chula Vista, Calif.) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference earlier this afternoon. For Moore, this is her second NAC Rooke of the Week award this season.
Despite last week's hard-fought 59-52 loss at Wentworth Institute of Technology, Moore finished with eight points on the night while also recording two steals on the night. Six of her eight points came on back-to-back threes late in the fourth quarter that trimmed Lesley's deficit down to seven (54-47) after the squad trailed by as much as 18 earlier that night. Moore has now made at least one three in three of her last four contests, with the team being 2-2 in those contests.
The Lynx have a busy week with three games on tap starting Wednesday, December 4, at 6:00 p.m. at Fitchburg State. Lesley rounds out the week with road matchups against SUNY Delhi on Friday, December 6 at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 7 at 1:00 p.m. versus SUNY Cobleskill.
