Terry Named NAC Defensive Player of the Week

NAC OFFICIAL RELEASE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Junior Lesley University women's basketball center Bella Terry (El Cajon, Calif.) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference earlier today. For Terry, this week's award marks the first weekly NAC award of her career.

Terry had a solid week last week for the Lynx as she helped the squad go 1-1, including a 47-44 victory over Bard College. In that game against the Raptors, she posted her fifth double-double of the season (her fifth in her last six games) when she finished with 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. She also swatted away a career-high five shots against Bard including two within the last 30 seconds that ultimately helped Lesley earn the win. Despite the loss to New England College four days prior, Terry had another double with 16 points and 12 boards. She also finished with three blocks in the contest as well.

On the year so far, Terry ranks within the top five in multiple defensive categories in the NAC including rebounds (69-second) and blocks (13-second). She is also third in the conference in scoring, as she is currently averaging 17.2 points per game.

Terry and the Lynx only have one game this week as the squad kicks off a six-game road trip traveling to Wentworth Institute of Technology on Tuesday, November 26, at 5:00 p.m.
