CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lesley University women's basketball first-year guard Jaira Moore (Chula Vista, Calif.) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference earlier this afternoon.
Moore had a solid week for the Lynx, helping the squad go 1-1, including a 63-58 victory in Lesley's home opener against Mt. Holyoke last Saturday. In the win, Moore finished with a career-high 10 points on an efficient 4-7 shooting from the field and a 2-3 clip beyond the arc. Defensively, she also made her mark in the game, setting career-highs in rebounds (six) and steals (four). Despite the loss at Dean last Wednesday, Moore finished with seven points, brought down four rebounds, and also had a steal.
Lesley continues its three-game homestand this week when the Lynx host New England College on Wednesday, November 20, at 7:30 p.m., and Bard College on Saturday, November 23, at 3:00 p.m.
