THE LEAD – The Lynx hosted Clark University for a non-conference matchup yesterday afternoon, dropping to the Cougars 85-51.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars pulled an early 7-0 lead over the Lynx at the start of the first quarter. Lesley answered but the Cougars continued to dominate the board, ending the first quarter with a 19-8 lead.
- The Lynx continued to battle, but could not break into the 10 point lead the Cougars kept a lock on.
- The Lynx took control in the third quarter, outscoring the Cougars 22-20 but could not break through Clark's lead.
- The Cougars dominated the fourth quarter, finishing with an 85-51 win.
INSIDE THE NUMERS
- Alexandra Kerley led the Lynx and posted a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds on the day.
- Paige Stowers followed with 12 points and a steal for the Lynx.
