Clark Tops Lynx on Senior Day

GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. -- The Lesley Women's Basketball team fell to the Clark University Cougars 99-45 on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx drop to 2-15 overall, while the Cougars move up to 8-13.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • After celebrating their lone senior, Zoe Bodwell, Lesley struggled to get shots to drop early. Emily Sifferlen went off for 15 first quarter points for Clark, making seven of eleven shots. Sifferlen needed little help, with Hannah Favaloro being the only other Cougar with more than 2 points in the quarter.
  • The rest of the first half was tough for the Lynx, as they were only able to make two shots and score six points in the second quarter. Sydnie Drezek was able to get things going a bit in the third, scoring eight points and making two three point shots.
  • The Clark bench put the Lynx away in the final quarter, with Jacqueline Falise scoring eight points and Mariah Harris and Julianne Liebow each dropping six. Kizziah Ruff got hot in the final ten minutes, sinking two threes as part of her eight point effort.
  • Drezek finished with fourteen points, while Ruff scored eighteen and Alexandra Kerley had ten with six rebounds. Sifferlen was the leader for the Cougars, scoring eighteen points while only playing twenty-one minutes.
