Lynx Lose to Lions in Conference Matchup

GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. -- The Lesley Women's Basketball team fell to the Eastern Nazarene Lions 104-61 on Saturday night. The Lynx drop to 2-12 overall this season and 0-2 in the conference, while the Lions move up to 10-8 and 2-1 in NECC play.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Turnovers were an issue again for the Lynx, as this time they committed 28 that allowed the Lions to score 38 points. The Lions also dominated in the paint, scoring 60 points and outrebounding the Lynx 38-24.
  • Lesley was shorthanded again, but got great performances from Kizziah Ruff and Alexandra Kerley. Both score 18 points, while Kerley added 10 rebounds and 3 steals and Ruff adding six assists. Hillary Berry had 13 points as well, while Sydnie Drezek added 8 off the bench.
  • The Lions threw a balanced attack at the Lynx and stopped them in their tracks with a 13-2 run to open the second quarter after Lesley started chipping into the lead at the end of the first. Te'Yalla Sampson led the Lions with 16 points and five rebounds off the bench, while Alondra Jimenez had 12 off the bench and Seniesha Sekaquaptewa and Delaney Walker each had eleven points
