Lynx Finish Season with Loss to Hawks

GAME OVERVIEW:

WORCESTER, MA. -- The Lesley women's basketball team closed out the regular season with a 61-43 loss to the Becker Hawks on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx finish at 1-17 on the season and 1-13 in conference play, while the Hawks finish at 11-14 and 9-5 in the NECC.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • Dakota Jones struggled shooting in her final game, but still finished with 14 points. She continued her dominance on the boards with 22 rebounds and finishes atop the NECC in both points per game with 22.8 and rebounds per game with 16.2.
  • Sydnie Drezek finished with 25 points, her third straight game with at least that amount. Drezek closed out the season averaged 26.7 points over her final three games and is looking ahead to a big sophomore season.
  • The Hawks were led by senior Cassidy Harrison's 23 points. Becker's other eight players all scored in the game, but none scored more than 7 points. Harrison shot 9 for 22 from the field and also had eight steals, four assists, and four rebounds.
  • The Hawks took advantage of mistakes by the Lynx, scoring 37 points off of turnovers. They only committed eight themselves, while forcing 25 out of Lesley.
