CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Lesley University had their first semester home finale spoiled by the University of Saint Joseph as the Blue Jays coasted past the Lynx 91-52 in non-conference action tonight at the Nicholas Athletics Center.

Lesley, who falls to 2-5 on the year, will wrap up their first semester schedule on Saturday when they travel to Dean College at 1:00p. The win snaps a four-game losing skid for the Blue Jays as they jump to 3-5 overall.

Lynx freshman Linda Wallentine (Monroe Township, N.J.) paced the hosts with a team-high 16 points and seven dimes while classmate Dakota Jones (Torrance, Calif.) poured in ten points to go with eight rebounds. Senior Emily Meade (Derry, N.H.) finished with a career-high ten points while pulling down eight caroms and freshman Kylie Lounder (Belchertown, Mass.) added eight points and four assists.

Senior Carlee Putnam (Niantic, Conn.) was nearly unstoppable for the Blue Jays as she hit six treys and finished with a double-double with game-highs of 28 points and ten rebounds while dishing out seven assists, swiping five steals, and blocking two shots. Junior Kayla Guest (Newington, Conn.) added 14 points, six boards, and four steals, while senior Elisha Pertillar (Windsor, Conn.) and sophomore Diamond Wallen (Hartford, Conn.) also finished with 14 points apiece. Junior Rajeen Mayo (Middletown, Conn.) added 13 points and four rebounds for the Blue Jays.

The Lynx started hot in the opening quarter as Wallentine powered the hosts to an early 8-2 lead over the first 3:25 of play. The Blue Jays would answer back with six unanswered to even the game at 8-8 before continue on a 14-6 streak to claim a 16-14 lead at the end of the quarter.

St. Joseph's would continue their momentum into the second as they exploded for 33 points on 71.4% (15-of-21) shooting from the floor. The Blue Jays opened the quarter on a 13-2 run while Putnam led the charge for in the quarter as she drained three from beyond the arc on her way to 13 points in the quarter.  

The Blue Jays followed the second with another 33 point quarter in the third and built up a lead as big as 39 on their way to the victory.

St. Joseph's shot 50.6% (39-of-77) from the floor, including knocking down 44% (7-of-16) from deep. They also scored 29 points off of 24 Lesley turnovers.
