CAMBRIDGE, MA – Becker College (4-11, 4-6 NECC) earned a third straight New England Collegiate Conference win, besting host Lesley 64-48 Saturday evening at the Nicholas Athletics Center.

Tatiana Mojica (Worcester, MA/Doherty) led all players with 24 points and totaled a team-high nine rebounds. Fellow sophomore Haley Ooms (Valatie, NY/Ichabod Crane) finished with 10 points, five rebounds and game-highs of eight assists and five steals from the Hawks backcourt.

Lynx forward Chelsea Contre (Pomfret, CT/Woodstock Academy) scored the final four points of an 8-0 run that put Lesley out in front 16-12 inside the 8:00 mark of the first before Mojica finished the last half of Becker's 8-0 run, swinging the visitors ahead 28-22 with 3:20 remaining. The 5-foot-8 Mojica led all scorers with 13 points at the break after hitting a jumper with 17 seconds remaining that sent the Hawks into halftime with a 37-29 lead.

Becker scored on ensuing possessions to start the second half, but Lesley center Grace Amato (Sharon, VT/Woodstock Union) came back with a three-point play that pulled the Lynx to within 40-31. An Emily Fleming (Medford, MA/Matignon) jumper at the 11:00 mark again took Lesley to within nine, but layups on consecutive possessions from sophomore forward Jacqueline Chila brought Becker back up by double figures for good.

Fleming led the Lynx with 12 points and five assists, and Amato added eight points and a team-high 10 rebounds, her fifth double-digit rebound game in six tries. Sarah Apgar (Andover, NJ/Lenape) totaled 11 points, three rebounds and three steals as the Lynx fell to 0-8 in league play, 0-13 overall.
