Lynx fall at Southern Vermont

BENNINGTON, VT -- Lesley women's basketball fell short in its attempt for its first win on Saturday at Southern Vermont, falling 76-59.

Emily Fleming led all scorers with 21 points on 3-7 shooting from three-point range, adding seven rebounds, five assists to only two turnovers. Center Grace Amato registered her third double-digit rebound game in her third outing as a Lynx, totaling a game-high 14 rebounds to go along with a season-high 15 points.

Forward Ashley Veliz led three Mountaineers in double figures with 18 points and nine rebounds, Dayna Carpenter followed with 16 points and seven rebounds, and Sherrita Hall totalled 11 points and six rebounds as the Mountaineers improved to 4-8, 3-2 in NECC play.

Sarah Apgar tallied 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Lynx, which fall to 0-10.

Lesley resumes to play on Tuesday at Mitchell College at 5:00 p.m.
