Lesley remains undefeated in NECC play

NASHUA, N.H. - The Lesley University women's basketball team topped Daniel Webster College 52-38 in a New England Collegiate Conference match up.  The Lynx improved to 5-8 (4-0 NECC), unbeaten in league play and winning their fourth straight contest, while the Eagles dropped to 6-7 (1-3 NECC) and lost their second straight game.

Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) scored a game-high 19 points.  It was the fourth straight game in which the junior center has tallied double-digit points.  Defensively, Lowe was able to block three Eagles shots.

Brianne Caira (Pelham, N.H.) complemented Lowe's effort with 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds.

The Lynx were efficient from the floor as the team hit 46.9% of their shots compared to 28.8% by the Eagles.

Daniel Webster stayed within nine points at halftime at 28-19, but within the first five and a half minutes of the second half Lesley went on a 10-0 run.  With the lead as large as 19 points, the Eagles were unable to mount a comeback and the Lynx left Nashua with another conference victory.

Lesley hosts Wheelock College on Thursday, January 22 at 8:00 pm while Daniel Webster hosts Elms College on the same day at 7:00 pm.
