Lesley drops final game to UMF

FARMINGTON, Me. - Freshman Kaitlyn Wechsler (Merrick, N.Y.) and Brianne Caira (Pelham, N.H.) gave a glimpse of the future for the Lynx as the freshmen scored 16 and 15 points respectively, in a 78-67 loss to UMaine-Farmington.  The loss dropped Lesley's record to 11-14 (5-9 North Atlantic Conference) while Farmington improved to 11-12 (8-5 NAC). 

Wechsler finished with 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals while Caira had 15 points, seven rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal.  Senior Courtnie Leakeas, in her final basketball game in a Lynx uniform, had eight points and nine rebounds.  Leakeas for her career finishes with 1,138 points which is good for second all-time at Lesley.

Erin Porter (Bangor, Me.) led the Beavers with 17 points and was complemented by Jillian Ross (Belfast, Me.) and Samantha Wiley (Lincolnville, Me.) who had 14 and 10 points each.  Erin Johnson (Bailey Island, Me.) also had a good game for the Beavers as she had eight points and 11 rebounds. 

The Lynx had the advantage at halftime as they lead 33-27.  In the second half, however, Farmington outscored Lesley 51-34 and were able to come back for the home victory.
