LEICESTER, Mass. - The second meeting between Lesley University and Becker College proved to be a lot less dramatic than the first. With very little suspense or drama Becker rolled past the Lynx 84-60.
Becker came out of the gate in a hurry as they were on fire from three-point range, shooting 70% in the first half. Becker used its great shooting to jump out to a 48-36 halftime lead.
Lesley was led on offense by Courtnie Leakeas (Lowell, Mass.) who had a team-high 16 points. Leakeas also had a team-high 11 rebounds giving Leakeas her first double-double of the year. Leakeas go help from freshman Hailee Lowe (Hamilton, Mass.) who contributed 15 points.
Becker College was led by a quartet of double-figure scorers. Kristin Karat led all scorers with 26 points. Jessica Crebase, Beth Pion and Rachel Pinak added 17, 12 and 12 points respectively. Stacy Goowine grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds and added 9 points of her own.
