Howard Named NAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

NAC OFFICIAL RELEASE

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - For the fourth time this year and in his career, Lesley men's basketball senior forward Malachi Howard (Winter Haven, Fla.) was named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Co-Defensive Player of the Week announced by the conference earlier this afternoon.

Last week, in a crucial 88-80 NAC victory over VTSU Lyndon, Howard recorded a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. His double-double marked his fifth of the season and the 11th of his career. He also blocked three shots in the win, while his 14 rebounds set a season-high and tied his career high.

Howard and the Lynx will take part in the NAC Playoffs, seeded in the fourth spot, and will take on No.1 seed SUNY Delhi on Friday, February 21, at 5:30 p.m. For Lesley, it will be the first time the squad has made the NAC Playoffs since 2007-08 before leaving for the NECC the following year.
