THE LEAD – The Lynx snagged their third win of the season this past Tuesday in a nail biter of a contest against Eastern Nazarene College. Lesley's Christian Castro led the entire match offensively with 24 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions put a quick four points on the board, forcing Lesley to come from behind straight out of the gate. A six-point run for the Lions increased their lead to 12-4, followed by a timeout from the Lesley bench.
- The remainder of the first half had both teams neck and neck, heading into the break with a 41-35 score, the Lions in the lead.
- An eight-point run for the Lynx at the 12 minute mark of the second half gave Lesley their first lead of the game.
- The Lions evened it back out with just 7 minutes to go in the game. The Lesley offense turned up the heat, putting up 10 unanswered points on the Lions.
- Two free-throws from Malachi Howard with eighteen seconds to go solidified the Lynx' win.
INSIDE THE NUMERS
- Castro led the Lynx with 24 points and 5 assists, going 9-15 on attempted shots.
- Tarell Joseph followed with 17 points, making 4 out of 9 three pointers.
