THE LEAD – The Lynx travelled to SUNY Poly for a NAC matchup, falling to the Wildcats 82-60.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Right out of the gate Lesley put back to back three-pointers on the board, immediately forcing the Wildcats into a six point deficit.
- Lesley held onto the lead for the majority of the first half, until a layup with four minutes to go tied up the score. Three free-throws and a three-pointer for the Wildcats followed giving SUNY a 37-31 lead.
- The teams broke for halftime with SUNY leading 41-38.
- The second half opened with a jumper and layup, both from Malachi Howard, giving Lesley back the lead.
- A 7 point run for the Wildcats turned the tide back towards SUNY Poly, forcing Lesley to trail once again.
- The game opened up shortly after, with a 12 point run for SUNY, giving them a 60-48 lead.
- The Wildcat offense turned up the heat, outscoring the Lynx 41-22 in the second half, clinching the win.
INSIDE THE NUMERS
- Tarell Joseph led the Lynx with 15 points and two steals.
- Howard followed with 14 points and a block.
