THE LEAD –  The Lynx travelled to SUNY Cobleskill for a NAC matchup this past Friday, dropping to the Fighting Tigers in a tight 92-83 final score.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Fighting Tigers pulled an early lead, which Lesley countered evening the score out with 15 minutes to go in the first.
• A 10 point run for Cobleskill gave them the lead they were looking for, forcing Lesley to turn up the heat.
• A layup followed by a three-pointer, both from Malachi Howard brought Lesley within nine points of the Fighting Tigers.
• Both teams continued to go back and forth, heading into halftime with a 46-33 score, Fighting Tigers in the lead.
• Lesley opened up the second half with a three-pointer from DJ Alexander, followed by 12 unanswered points for SUNY Cobleskill.
• After a Lesley timeout with 16 minutes to go, the Lynx came back out and posted seven unanswered points to whittle Cobleskill's lead down to 15 points.
• Lesley continued to battle but could not get ahead, falling to the Fighting Tigers 92-83.

INSIDE THE NUMERS  

• Howard led the Lynx with a whopping 30 points, a new career high, as well as seven rebounds and two blocks.
• Tarell Joseph followed with 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals.
