THE LEAD –  Lesley hit the road to take on UMaine Farmington in NAC play. The Lynx dropped to the Beavers twice over the weekend, unable to put a stop to their offense.  

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1

• The Beavers struck first and opened up the match with a seven point run, immediately forcing the Lynx to come back from behind.
• UMaine continued to dominate the first half, leading Lesley by 30 going into the break.
• With five minutes to go in the match the Beavers increased their lead to 40, eventually winning the match 103-65.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Malachi Howard lead the Lynx with 15 points and three rebounds.
• Jaden Phillips put up 10 points and eight rebounds in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2

• Lesley put the first points on the board with a three-pointer from Howard, but UMaine responding on the next possession.
• The two teams went back and forth evenly scoring for the next five minutes of the match.
• A seven point run for the Beavers gave them the momentum they were looking for, pulling ahead to lead by 20 heading into the break.
• Lesley continued to fire off shots but were unable to pull ahead, losing 92-69.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Howard lead the Lynx with 17 points and four rebounds.
• Christian Castro contributed 12 points and two rebounds in the loss.

The Lynx are heading into the Winter break and will return to the court Monday, January 8^th with a non-conference matchup against Rivier.
