THE LEAD – Lesley travelled to Franklin, MA to take on the Dean College Bulldogs in a non-conference matchup this past Tuesday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Bulldogs took the lead right out of the gate, putting Lesley at a 20 point deficit at the ten-minute mark.
- With a combined effort and points from Malachi Howard, Christian Castro, and Tarell Joseph the Lynx chipped away at Deans lead and went into halftime trailing 36-30.
- Both teams continued to put points on the board, but Lesley was only able to get within three points of the Bulldogs before they took another 10 point lead.
- At the nine minute mark Lesley was trailing Dean by 20, and ultimately finished the game with a 70-60 score.
- Lesley led the match in 3 pointers 8-3, but Dean made up for it from the free-throw line.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Howard led the Lynx in scoring with 18 points, as well as 12 rebounds, and four assists.
- Castro contributed 16 points on the match, 7 rebounds, and a steal.
- Joseph trailed with 15 points, a pair of rebounds and steals, as well as five assists.
