THE LEAD – The Lynx competed against Curry College in a non-conference matchup, losing 63-58 to the Colonels.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Colonels took a quick four point lead to start the match, staying at least six points ahead of the Lynx until the ten minute mark. Lesley scored eight unanswered points to bring the Colonels to a two point lead.
- Curry battled back and the teams left the court for halftime with a 36-29 score.
- Six minutes into the second half, Tarell Joseph's layup gave Lesley their first lead of the game. They continued to fire off shots and extended their lead over the Colonels to seven points.
- With just five minutes left in the game, Curry came within two points of the Lynx.
- After a scoreless two minutes, the Lynx held the lead 58-57. Charles Shawn's dunk for the Colonels turned the lead over to Curry. After a series of fouls and four free throws the Colonels snagged the win with a final score of 63-58.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Malachi Howard snagged four rebounds and 14 points for the Lynx.
- Christian Castro contributed 11 points and three rebounds on the match.
- Joseph posted nine points and three rebounds.
