THE LEAD –  The Lynx opened up their season with a home-matchup and win against Framingham State University.  

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Lynx and Rams were evenly matched the entirely of the first half. Lesley took an early lead, but Framingham battled back, coming within a single point of Lesley on six separate occasions, however they never took the lead.
• Both teams returned to the court after halftime, Lesley leading 35-31 at the start of the second half. Lesley gained a ten-point lead on the Rams, however they quickly battled back.
• With just a minute left in the game, Framingham is one three-pointer away from tying the game. Two fouls and four good free-throws in the last 15 seconds of the match clinch the win for the Lynx, end score of 75-68.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Malachi Howard snagged eight rebounds and 21 points for the Lynx.
• Tarell Joseph and Christian Castro collected double-digit points in the Lynx' win.
