Lynx Season Comes to a Close Against ENC

GAME OVERVIEW:

MEDFORD, MA. -- The Lesley Men's Basketball team lost their NECC Playoff matchup with Eastern Nazarene College on Wednesday night by a score of 91-66. The Lynx finish out at 2-20 overall, while the Lions move up to 14-11.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

  • The Lynx fought strong early, battling to a 13-12 lead over the first five minutes of the game. They later pulled within two points from a three-pointer by Christian Castro, but the Lions closed the half on a 12-3 run that Lesley was never able to recover from.
  • Lesley only committed one more turnover than ENC in this one, but the Lions took better advantage of their opponent's mistakes. ENC turned the Lynx turnovers into 21 points, while Lesley only scored 12 points off of the Lions miscues.
  • Shooting was a struggle for the Lynx, as all of their points came from only five players. NECC Rookie of the Year Gabe McCrary led the way with nineteen points, while Marco Powells had seventeen, Malachi Howard had sixteen and Christian Castro and Scott Barlow combined for fourteen off the bench.
  • Conversely, four of the five Lions starters scored in double figures. Levi Grady-White was the leader with 22, while NECC Co-Player of the Year Bernie McGuinness finished with sixteen points. Corey McGhee was a defensive stopper for ENC, picking up five steals and three blocks.
